Cecilia Fiona (born 1997, Copenhagen, DK) is working across painting, sculpture and costumes used in ritual-like performances.
Her artistic world is populated by biomorphic and mythical beings, situated somewhere between prehistorical creatures and future species.
Inspired by quantum physics, microbiology, and alchemy, she creates her own mythological universe where hybrid human creatures dissolve into imaginative ecosystems and where the boundaries between body and earth, dream and reality are fluid.
Cecilia Fiona holds a BA in Art History from the University of Copenhagen, DK (2021). Residencies include: LAB VERDE Speculative Ecologies Residency, Amazon, Brazil, Dec, 2024, supported by The Danish Arts Foundation and El Castillete Residency, Madrid, ES (2022).
